 Gugak Museum offering a docent tour for froeigners. By the time of reopening the Gugak museum, the institute is trying to promote two events. First, they renovated a new exhibition of immersive contents between Korean traditional music and New technology. At Gallery 1, ther offer a video art entitled "Jongmyojeryeak, Sing for the Joseon Dynasty," and "Instruments, Draw Sounds." And at Gallery 4, they also newly introduce a program, called "Jinyeon, Meet the Court Banquets." Those are based upon the importance of the traditional music handed down upto now from Joseon period, and are thank to the technology of real-world 3D cideo and 2D graphics. The video art begins at every o'clock and 30 minutes from 10am to 17:30. The museum operating hour runs until 6pm everyday, except Mondays, and Jan. 1st. Second, Here's a good new for foreigners. Saturday Gugak Concert is running

 Saturday Gugak Concert is running at the National Gugak Center in Seoul. The program brings about the beauty of Korean traditional arts including instrumental music, vocal music, and dances. This is one of the representative brand concert of the National Gugak Center which deals with almost every contents of Korean genuine traditions on the stage. And the program is offere on the stage in turn without any conflict of sequence. So it's more of an assorted gift set for every domestic and foreign audiences. Since the program chages everyweek, you can always check the program through printed book or on the internet access to their homepage. Gugak Museum at the National Gugak Center

Have you visited the Gugak Museum at National Gugak Center? Or Have you been to the National Gugak Center? It's located in Seochodong, Southern Seoul near Seoul Art center. Although I am posting about the all-year-round exibition about the museum, the National Gugak Center worhts visit to watch many performances about Korean genuine music. Mostly, Korean traditional performing arts contains instrumental music and vocal music as well as dance repertoires. Thus, there are always music and dance performing in theaters. There are basically three theaters which can accomodate upto 600 audiences, 300s, and 100s, plus an amphitheater running under weather conditions. If you visit the center, there's a big gree artificial grass covered on the ground, where children and anyone can walk or talk on.
