Gugak Museum offering a docent tour for froeigners.
By the time of reopening the Gugak museum, the institute is trying to promote two events.
First, they renovated a new exhibition of immersive contents between Korean traditional music and New technology.
At Gallery 1, ther offer a video art entitled "Jongmyojeryeak, Sing for the Joseon Dynasty," and "Instruments, Draw Sounds." And at Gallery 4, they also newly introduce a program, called "Jinyeon, Meet the Court Banquets."
Those are based upon the importance of the traditional music handed down upto now from Joseon period, and are thank to the technology of real-world 3D cideo and 2D graphics.
The video art begins at every o'clock and 30 minutes from 10am to 17:30.
The museum operating hour runs until 6pm everyday, except Mondays, and Jan. 1st.

Here's a good new for foreigners.
The Gugak museum decided to open a docent tour program serviced in English once a week for foreigners. Those who want to participate, please visit the National Gugak Center's homepage, and fill out the Google form to join the program.
By the professional musicologists, the docent program deals with the contents exhibited at the museum as well as general knowledges about Korean traditional music.
The docent program's schedule will be at around 4:30pm, every Saturday at free of charge.
However, it will begin earlier than the scheduled time to prevent time delay due to the ending time of the Saturday concert. Participants will be limited to 20 individual visitors in first come, first served way. For more information, please contact the National Gugak Center's museum office at 02-580-3130.

The pictures were taken during the docent tour held on April 8th, Saturday afternoon as the first day of the program.
Dr. Yuseok Kim was with the program that day, and many participants signed up to participate the program right after the Saturday concert.
